OUR STORY

I started making soap when my eldest daughter was going through a phase of childhood eczema. After searching for a natural shop bought cleanser I soon realised the shop shelves are packed with shower gels and body cleansers that are loaded with chemicals. After trying many so called 'gentle' body washes, which didn't help, I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own soap bars.

It was only when I started using filtered water from Loch Ness in my soap making that the eczema cleared. it could have been down to timing, or the high quality plant based oils I use. but my inquisitive mind couldn't leave it there, i needed to know what is in this water, and if there was a possibility that there could me more to Loch Ness than just a famous resident!

It turns out that there is indeed so much skin loving goodness in this water. It is incredibly rich in peat, which is what gives it is characteristic brown hue. This peat is naturally occurring all around the loch. As rain falls on the surrounding hills, it filters down through the hills and makes it's way into the water.

Peat is also rich in magnesium which is known for cellular regeneration and helping skin recover from damage, it is also known for it's skin calming properties.

Since I started making soap this way, I am happy to say that my daughter's eczema has cleared and I truly believe the soap was contributing factor.

Every batch of water extracted from the loch is screened by an independent laboratory for purity and safety, has full traceability and due to it's neutral pH, this luxurious and creamy soap is not only beautiful to look at, your skin will love it too.
